Content Guidance Rating:

KaraJOKEe = Comedy with a Chorus.

Comedians tend to be a very confident, but have you ever wondered what happens when they are pushed out of their comfort zone?

First, you’ll see 5 minutes of prepared material, then the fun starts.

After the jokes, each comedian is forced to sing a karaoke song chosen for them by live audience vote! Will you be blown away by the amazing talent or brought to tears of laughter witnessing a musical train wreck?

Join us for a hilarious mix of comedy and singing with talented comedians from across the state. Created and hosted by Matt Harper.

Alana Gonzalez

Comedian Alana Gonzalez has been making people laugh across the country anywhere a microphone can be found — in bars and clubs, over the air waves, and virtually — for over 20 years.

She possesses likable and relatable takes on the downsides of parenting, relationships, chivalry, and being a woman in today’s age. Her sarcasm and devilish wit are a hit with all types of audiences.

Carl Sobel

When Carl’s dreams of being a professional rock-climber came to an end, he turned to stand-up comedy and never looked back.  The West Michigan everyman that craves spontaneity, Carl’s storytelling mixed with off the cuff tangents will keep you laughing at all his misadventures.

Adam Degi

Adam Degi is quickly becoming one of the most sought-after two-time cancer-surviving, bald, white comedians with a Hungarian last name in the world. You can add fatherhood, well-crafted jokes, and improvisation to his repertoire. He’s been a guest on most of the comedy-based podcasts you’ve never heard of, and he has a real knack for making your dad laugh. By the time you read this, he’ll have a few more followers on TikTok and a few less on Instagram. The only thing that can stop him is getting cancer a third time. What if I told you it happened…AGAIN. He’s on his way to another victory, the only way he knows how: saying things he shouldn’t in front of strangers.

Matt Cook

Matt Cook is a Grand Rapids based comedian who often highlights his life as a husband, father, and pharmacist. His honest and self deprecating style  will make you feel better about yourself and your parenting abilities. Matt performs everywhere from the best comedy clubs to the lowliest dive bars, and he wouldn’t want it any other way.

Patt Sievert

Pat Sievert is a comedian from Lansing, Michigan.    Since 2012 he has been a fixture on the Midwest comedy scene, he is a past winner of the Funniest Person in Grand Rapids competition, and has worked with notable comedians like Jackie Kashian, Jimmy Pardo and Gary Gulman.

Devarron Thomas

A Detroit native but Gr Comic Devarron brings a dry comedic bend to what FEELS like a regular conversation. You never know where a punchline will land. Devarron has performed in NY, Austin, all over Michigan and has opened for the talented likes of Maddy Smith and Jay Mohr.

Host Matt Harper

Matt Harper is a crowd favorite at venues all over the Midwest. His unique perspective shines through in his comedy (and terrible decisions). Take note as Matt explains what NOT to do when it comes to being a husband, father, and human being, all while making you laugh along the way.
